For Community Partners
WithinReach is made stronger and more effective in the community by working with partners throughout Washington State who are invested in increasing access to essential food and health resources for families.
Two main programs for which our partner network is essential are food stamp access (Basic Food/SNAP) and Summer Meals (Washington Summer Food Service Program). Throughout the year we immerse ourselves within communities and create forums to identify needs, partners, outreach strategies and resources for local organizations to help the families they serve.
Basic Food Outreach Forum:
The Basic Food Education Forum is designed for King and Snohomish county agencies enrolling clients in Basic Food/SNAP (food stamps). These fun, informative sessions provide a forum for networking among local agencies, development of best practices, latest information regarding eligibility and sharing of innovative outreach strategies.
WithinReach has been a leader in the statewide Summer Meals Partnership that helps feed hungry children over the summer. We developed a Resource Toolkit that helps community-based organization across the state with local information, training tools and outreach strategies to strengthen the summer meals program in their communities.
Would you like to connect your patients and clients with information about Summer Meals and Basic Food?
We also partner with agencies by providing free materials on Summer Meals, Basic Food and a variety of other health and nutrition topics. These are available in multiple languages and are completely free.
Our Summer Meals work is made possible with the support of the United Way of King County and Coordinated Care.
