Currently, one in five children in Washington is food insecure; their families can’t be sure where their next meal is coming from.
Washington State is currently the 22nd hungriest state in the country. This is why WithinReach works to connect people across the state with food resources that help families be healthy by having access to nutritious food.
We do this using our technology-based and in-person outreach strategies so families can learn about, and apply for Basic Food/SNAP (food stamps), the Summer Food Service Program (summer meals), and the Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Families can connect with these programs and local food resources such as food banks through our hotlines, websites or in-person outreach.
