What We Do

WithinReach is committed to ensuring optimal health for all families.

Information and Referral Services

We connect families to essential health resources through 3 statewide hotlines and ParentHelp123.org, an interactive website that helps families find and apply for programs and local services available to them, such as:

  • Free or low-cost Health Insurance, including Medicaid, Basic Health, SCHIP and Children’s Health Insurance Programs.
  • Nutrition Resources, like Basic Food (food stamps), the Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), and local food banks.
  • Family Planning services, such as low-cost birth control through the Take Charge Family Planning Program.
  • Low-cost Child Care programs like Head Start.
  • Immunizations

Community Outreach Program

Our Community Outreach team provides eligibility screening, application assistance, and referrals in-person at sites throughout King County.  Families can receive information on  Basic Food, Apple Health for Kids, Pregnancy Medical, WIC, utility assistance, and much more.

The Community Outreach team also partners with United Way of King County to offer the Bridge to Basics program, working with trained community volunteers to connect with families in need.

Statewide Coalitions

WithinReach also has three statewide health coalitions which promote public health awareness and education:  the Immunization Action Coalition of Washington (IACW), the Breastfeeding Coalition of Washington (BCW) and the Hepatitis B Coalition of WA.

Free Outreach Materials

WithinReach creates and distributes a variety of health education materials to families through doctor’s offices, schools and health clinics.  To learn more, visit our materials information page.
