The primary responsibility of the Prenatal Care Outreach Project Coordinator is to work with the Maternal and Infant Health (MIH) section of Department of Health (DOH) and WithinReach to address the following MIH project goals:
Project work will incorporate WithinReach’s existing programs, including the Family Health Hotline and ParentHelp123.org as well as and other technologies and tools.
WithinReach’s Information and Referral Specialists provide information and referral services to families throughout Washington State, connecting them to health insurance, food assistance programs, and other resources within their communities. Information and Referral Specialists also support WithinReach’s on-line health and food assistance outreach website, www.parenthelp123.org. Support of the ParentHelp123 website can include, but is not limited to, application assistance, technical support, and feedback on website changes.
Other duties associated with the position include community outreach through fairs and conferences.
WithinReach works with interns on a project-by-project basis. Interns need to have a Masters degree and/or be enrolled in a Masters degree program in the following areas:
Internships are usually unpaid and require from 15 to 25 hours a week. Most projects include program evaluation.
