Each year, WithinReach connects over 58,000 Washington families to health resources in their communities. By calling any one of our statewide hotlines, families are connected to free or low-cost health insurance, food resources, immunizations, breastfeeding support, family planning services, parenting support, child development screening services, and many other social and health programs.

Family Health Hotline: 1-800-322-2588

The Family Health Hotline is Washington’s maternal and infant health hotline. We can connect families to:

  • Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • First Steps Pregnancy Medical Insurance (Medicaid)
  • Free health insurance for kids (Medicaid)
  • Free and low-cost immunization clinics
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Child development screening services, and
  • Resources for families with children with special health care needs.

Family Food Hotline: 1-888-4FOODWA (888-436-6392)

The Family Food Hotline is Washington's food resource hotline. We can connect you to local programs and resources such as:

  • The Basic Food program (formerly called Food Stamps)
  • Summer Meals
  • Local food banks

HealthyKidsNow! Hotline: 1-877-543-7669

HealthyKidsNow! (HKN) is free or low cost insurance for Washington’s children and teens. Families who qualify can receive either free or low cost medical, dental and vision insurance for their children under age 19. Call the HKN! Hotline to see if your children might qualify.

Family Planning/Take Charge Hotline: 1-800-770-4334

In addition to screening for Take Charge, a program which provides free birth control for one year, the Family Planning/Take Charge hotline can also provide information and referrals for:

  • Pregnancy Testing
  • STI Screening
  • Options Counseling
  • Termination
  • Birth Control
  • Annual Exams
